Favorite Flicks

Monday, talk on the Phoenix turned to The Producers, probably my favorite movie of all, so that night I rummaged around in the attic until I found the old tape I had of it, and I watched. I still love it. While I was rummaging, I found a bunch of other favorite flicks that I haven't seen in ages, and I brought them downstairs, too. Watched Cannery Row tonight, which I hadn't seen in years, and my love for that film hasn't diminished, either. I do still get melancholy at the end of it, which is the only negative. 'sokay, I'll live. Other stuff in the pile to be watched includes The Crimson Pirate, Much Ado About Nothing, Amazon Women on the Moon, Paint Your Wagon, and The Last of the Mohicans. I'd really like to get Cannery Row on DVD, but I see little chance of that happening any time soon, since I seem to be the only person anywhere who liked it. The Producers, OTOH, is due out soon in DVD, so I'll be looking for that. Now, if I can just find a copy of The Twelve Chairs...

My cough finally seems to be getting better. Still probably won't be able to play volleyball tomorrow night. Bother.
