7:40 am - Adios, Tim...
I gave up on The Inside halfway through last night's ep. I don't need to watch a show where the lead character is too frelling stupid to live, and where I'm rooting for her to be the next victim.
Current Mood: annoyed

I haven't watched it yet. It's on past my bedtime, which is somewhat pathetic, I know. But, I did finally watch last week's last night. There were a bunch of things that made me go, "well, huh." I think it's one of those shows that I'll watch just 'cause there's nothing else on. But, unless something major happens to switch my thinking, I don't think it's the next "can't miss!" show.

My complaints about the show, are a total lack of anytthing to do for Danny and Mel. And her. I just don't think the actress has the chops to play all the levels she's supposed to be hitting. She's trying for distant and fucked up and wounded, but it's coming off as blank (and stupid). I'm going to watch a few more eps. but it's not grabbing me.

I'm sorry to hear it for the purely selfish reason that I always enjoy having you around for episode discussions -- but if it doesn't work for you, no reason to watch.

I saw a few minutes of this week's (having totally missed the premiere) and agree with you that Too Dumb To Live is usually something the FBI weeds out of its applicants.

Also, the nagging impression that I'm watching an X-Files spinoff, where Lucy Householder (from "Oubilette") didn't drown, but became a model, and then for kicks became an FBI agent.

Also the faintly cheesy implausibility of the setup. The more outre the crime, the more dully realistic the setting has to be, and that version of the FBI is second only to Kiefer's CIA for Extremely Serious silliness.

I can't even watch five minutes of it. I WANT to like it for the Minear factor, but I just don't think the lead "actress" can act at all, and it distresses me to watch her.

I didn't enjoy the two episodes I sat through. Didn't bother with last night (July 6) at all.
