So Far so Good

We've had some very pleasant weather the last couple of days. I didn't ride over the weekend, although I think I got plenty of exercise climbing twelve ramps up to the upper deck at Shea on Saturday. All so's I could watch Broxton blow the game in the bottom of the eighth against the Mets. The Dodgers have now lost every game I've seen in person going back to at least 2003. Feh. And it cost $15 to park in a lot that was free when I parked there in 2005. At least it was Cap Day, so I got a free baseball cap out of the deal, even if it's a Mets cap.

Rides - 6/3/08 It's June, so it's time to take stock of progress so far. Actually, I'm pretty impressed with myself. That's a lot of miles so far. Of course now I wonder what things would've been like if I'd applied myself a little more when I was younger.

Yesterday was gorgeous, but I had almost no energy. Ran out of gas on the first climb up Tefft Hill, so I cut the ride short. Today I almost skipped the ride. I even tried to talk myself into
mowing the lawn
instead, but I decided that was just silly. I started slow, and didn't feel particularly strong, but by the end I'd turned in my fast ride of the year. Go me! I have no idea how that happened, because I wasn't particularly pushing it.
