Still varnishing, did case number two tonight. Two to go. Went to Home Depot to look at 1x3 maple for the face frame, and was massively disappointed with what they had in stock. Knotty, warped, and some of the pieces didn't even have a rectangular cross-section. Really crappy stuff considering that they want $1.16 a linear foot for it. That may not sound like a lot, but it adds up quick. I need four 8' lengths for the uprights, an 11' length for the header, and about 36' to do the edging on the shelves, which all adds up to seventy-nine linear feet, or $92 plus tax. I'll probably drive up to the Lowes in Cranston to see if they have a better selection.
Watched the second Wimsey DVD tonight, Have His Carcase. I don't care if everyone else in the world thinks it's the lamest of the Wimsey's, I still like it. I still want to cluestick Harriet, and the cryptography bit is weak, but Bunter gets to do a lot more than usual, and I like the way the mystery unravels. Plus, the villains were both in Star Wars.
Hah! I'm listening to tracks at random on WinAmp, and "Cherish" just started playing, which is really funny if you happened to read Bitches this afternoon. Well it's funny to me, anyway.
